We’ve all heard rumors about professional athletes and their sometimes-shocking dealings off field, dating all the way back to some of the most elite and celebrated pro athletes of all time.

Well, today in an exclusive interview for Dubcnn, national recording artist named Sabrina revealed some interesting details about a professional athlete whom many consider to be one of the greatest baseball players of all time – New York Yankees phenomenon, Alex Rodriguez.

Sabrina has been featured on many influential urban music media sites and is currently in the studio with some of the most high-profile artists and producers in the industry. She’s been featured with the multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated Nappy Roots, Focus (formally of Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment), Tha Chill (Compton’s Most Wanted), Jayo Felony and Knoc-turn’al.

Let’s just say the details she unveils about Alex Rodriguez are “thought provoking” to say the least. But keeping her focus as she tells us in this interview “I really just want to talk about the music”, Sabrina opens up about her upcoming album “No Rose Petals & Bubblebaths” which can be heard in the music video for the upcoming major motion picture “Last Day of Summer”, starring Nikki Reed from “Twilight” and “Twilight: New Moon”, DJ Qualls, William Sadler and directed by Russian filmmaker, Vlad Yudin, who is fresh off the release of hiscritically-acclaimed film “Big Pun: The Legacy”.

There was a train wreck at Coachella, and its name was Sly Stone.

While the better part of 75,000 festival-goers were at the main stage watching Gorillaz pull off an amazing combination of live performance and animation, 300 fans of Stone waited in a nearly empty tent across the property. And waited.

Earlier in the evening, the reclusive legend was a no-show for his 7 p.m. set. At 7:05 p.m., a man came out and announced, “Sly Stone’s performance has been postponed ’til a little bit later.’” A few in the crowd snickered. This would not be the first time Sly bailed on a gig. “No, no, no,” the man continued. “He’s gonna funk this place out!”

Shortly after 9 p.m., a text message came from Coachella organizers that read: “Sly Stone 10:30 pm Mojave tent.” 10:30 rolled around. 10:45. 11 p.m. The band was soundchecking furiously, but still no Sly. Finally, at 11:10, the diminutive Rock and Roll Hall of Famer took the stage – in a blonde-and-black streaked wig straight out of Carol Channing’s wardrobe from “Hello Dolly.” A navy cop’s outfit (complete with badge) and black sequined smoking jacket completed the ensemble. Tesa stared intensely into her glass, barely noticing the ice cubes that just minutes earlier were peacefully floating in a sea of golden brown, heavily-sweetened sun tea now quickly surrendering to the typical Louisiana hot summer day.

Sitting on the front porch, balancing her elbow on the arm of her grandmother’s old whicker rocking chair, she began running her finger along the withered strands of woven wood that once boasted a shiny coat of white paint, thinking back to a time when the now torn and faded seat cushions were a brightly striped magenta and yellow cotton fabric and summer days seem to go on and on forever.

She remembered those days as well as the snow cones she shared every summer with her brother and two sisters. Her mother in the kitchen whipping up her father’s favorite dessert, a triple-layer chocolate cake topped with a generous amount of chocolate icing, and watching his face light up in delight as she later appears at the screen door and gracefully hands him a plate displaying a thick slice of cake followed by a glass of cold milk, gives him a quick peck on the cheek and then disappears back into the house.
