A collaboration of new music from multi-platinum stars and also breaking artists who are now emerging in the spotlight, “Winter Music Watch” is a music compilation sampler (or some may simply call it a mixtape) that is set to take the country by a cold winter storm. One of the songs on advisory is “Like Swish” from a Rookie Rap artist known as Koolie Blak, who penned this single with inspiration from the greatest basketball player of all-time — Michael Jordan.

After building the once-unheard-of brand into one of best-selling brands of all time, Jordan’s infamous Air Jordan legacy was recently passed down to his children, entrusting the brand to them and their vision for the future of the company, which they appropriately dubbed “Heir Jordan” (set to launch worldwide soon). Upon hearing the news, Koolie related it to some of the greatest music artists of the past who have made music what it is today and are now passing the torch onto the younger generation to carry on and contribute to the sound of the future.

Koolie Blak gave the following statement about song:

“The song “Like Swish” came about when saw what Marcus and Jeffrey Jordan were doing with the Heir Jordan campaign. Life is about leaving your own legacy and not living in the ones before you, while at the same-time appreciating the opportunities given to you by the people you love. My song “Like Swish” is a nod to the heirs of the Jordan empire and the beginning of them building a legacy of their own. Some might see their inheritance as a handout, but it’s not. It’s a lot of pressure to carry on what a legend built before you, especially if he was your father. I was inspired by Michael and I am definitely inspired by their initiative. It just spoke to me for some reason. Their doing it all on their own and I respect that. I want the same for my career. I want to carry on the torch.”

This “Winter Music Watch” will be available online within the first few weeks of November.
